Fear, by itself, is not bad — it was created by God to keep us free and protect us from harm. Like everything else created by God, however, it’s been corrupted by sin. How do we realign our fears and get them back under God’s control? Pastor Sonny discusses this from the life of the Apostle Peter.
Matthew 26:69–72
69 Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came up to him and said, “You also were with Jesus the Galilean.” 70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you mean.” 71 And when he went out to the entrance, another servant girl saw him, and she said to the bystanders, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” 72 And again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.”
Acts 4:19–20
19 But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, 20 for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard.”
